my story

I'd love to tell you an impressive story or brag about being a world-renowned photographer with a massive following, but that's not me. I'm just a regular wife & mom who has a passion for photography. My photography journey started with a simple search for a summer job in high school. I walked into a local studio looking for a paycheck & walked out with a passion for

photography. While working as a photography assistant, I discovered a creative spark that drove me to capture life through my own camera lens. A love for simple, heartfelt imagery defines my style. I want to capture the honest, unscripted beauty of your family’s journey—from the sleep-deprived fog of those first few weeks with a newborn to the everyday magic of your life together.

the longer version

My story starts in my hometown of Champion, Ohio, where I’ve built a life rooted in connection & care. After graduating from nursing school in 2007, I married my husband Matthew in 2009, and we quickly started our family. I spent those next 13 years soaking up every moment as a play-at-home mom to my boys, Mason and Ethan. Now, my boys have hit their teenage years, and they've officially decided I’m uncool, so I figured it was the perfect time to stop hovering and start working again! I wanted a job that allowed me to prioritize family time while still serving others in a meaningful way. I’ve always been that person who naturally wants to help out wherever I can.

A few years back, I figured I’d follow my boys to school and actually get paid for it! Yep, I’m officially that mom. I’ve infiltrated my boys' school as a paraprofessional. Now, Mason and Ethan have to live with the constant fear that I’ll pop into their classroom like a human pop-up ad that you can’t close. I call it 'involved parenting, they call it "stalking". The best part of my day is when I hear their friends say, "bro, your mom is watching you." The look on their faces! (Chef’s kiss) Do you want the real silver lining? Getting to work with the most legendary kids at Champion Local Schools. Seriously, these students are the absolute best part of my day.

For over two decades, the creative spark that started during my teen years while working as a studio assistant has remained constant. My lifelong passion for photography has now matured into something a little more professional. After working alongside a seasoned photographer as a second shooter during the 2025 wedding season, I fell in love with documentary-style images and wanted to incorporate that style of photography into clients' homes. While I love the beauty of a classic posed portrait, my goal is to strip away the things that are artificial and lean towards capturing the beauty of raw, honest moments that A.I, algorithms, and filters can't replicate. Documenting the honest, unscripted rhythm of your family's life in the place where you feel most like yourself: your home.

I am based in Champion, Ohio. I am honored to serve our local community and the surrounding areas, transforming your everyday, quiet moments into timeless keepsakes. I have completed several family photography training courses and earned my safety certification in newborn photography through multiple accredited online programs & mentorships. (Momtog Educate, Kelly Brown Education, and The Milky Way Newborn & Family Retreat.) Bonus: Having a background in nursing and working as a para has also provided me with additional training in CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, OB/Peds, Children with special needs, and detecting signs of Child Abuse, just to name a few.

my vibe...

The "real Life" advocate.
Person with dark wavy hair resting head on hands while lying down outdoors.

As a family photographer, my core purpose is to preserve family moments, tell authentic stories, and create heartfelt images. Life is a whirlwind of schedules, chores, and endless to-do lists — it all can feel a bit chaotic. I will find the beauty in those small everyday moments. Within that beautiful mess lies magic. Time is truly a thief. As a mom of practically 2 teenagers, I wish I had slowed down and enjoyed the chaos. I want to be the reason you pause and see the beauty around you...Even if it's just for a few hours.
