My newborn sessions are made to capture genuine family connections &  the daily reality of life with a new baby. We will work together to capture natural interactions in your home, such as feeding, cuddling, diaper changes, and exploring the nursery. Emphasizing candid & documentary-style images while incorporating traditionally posed images gives your gallery a variety of images. The goal is to tell the story of your growing family through a relaxed, baby-driven session that produces authentic images you'll cherish for years. I know this is a lifestyle shoot, but my love for classic, posed portraits always gets the best of me. You'll find a few classic poses mixed in with your lifestyle photos—I have a weakness for them.

The Process

STEP 01

Let's connect! Fill out the newborn session form to start. You can head to the contact page or scroll down to get in touch. Keep an eye on your inbox for your session booking link! After you select your date, please don’t forget to fill out the contract and questionnaire so we can plan your perfect session.

STEP 02

answer questions & house prep

Expect an email or call from me a few weeks before your due date! We’ll discuss activities you want to capture, go over how to prep your home, and make sure you feel completely ready!

STEP 03

picture time

Once I arrive, I will spend the first few minutes getting to know you, your family, and any older siblings. Together, we will walk through your home to look for the best light. Because I follow your little one's lead, sessions typically last 2 to 4 hours. The exact time depends on the specific package you choose, giving us plenty of room for breaks.

Step 4

delivering photos

Your photos will be delivered in 14 business days via a private online gallery that can be easily shared with friends and family. From there, you can order professional-quality prints directly through me, sourced from my trusted labs based in California, Texas & Minnesota. A print release is included with your gallery, giving you the freedom to print your gorgeous images at your convenience.
